Hurricane Beryl: Additional sailing services scheduled to help backlogs

Inter-Island Ferry Services of the Trinidad and Tobago has announced their newest service amidst the aftereffects of the Hurricane beryl. The service includes the additional sailing to serve the issue of backlog on the sea bridge stemming from the prevalence of the Hurricane Beryl.

This service has been planned for July 2 and July 3, Tuesday- Wednesday. This was planned in accordance with the fact that the regular sailing and ferry service is discontinued due to the hurricane till Thursday July 4, thus the plan can be carried out with no obstructions and ensure a flawless functioning of the regular ferry service from July 4.

For this additional sailing service, passengers will be accommodated on a first come first served basis.

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service has discontinued the Adverse Weather Alert. Although they have predicted a medium chance of about 40-60% of isolated thunderstorms and heavy rainfall during the day, but a gradual improvement in the weather and adverse impacts is forecasted towards the evening and throughout the night.

All the schools in Trinidad and Tobago were closed on July 1, Monday, as the schools required cleaning and adjustments after the passage of the hurricane. Although the schools are all set to reopen on Tuesday, July 2. Some of the business and offices remained closed on Monday, while others continued to serve the people. All the business and offices to open on Tuesday.
