Egypt: The sudden train collide killed at least 32 individuals, and more than 60 people are injured after two trains crashed in the southern part of the Egyptian city of Sohag on Friday, the health ministry declared.

Health authorities had dispatched 36 ambulances assistance to the commotion, and wounded people were being taken to local hospitals, the ministry said in a declaration.

Another source stated that the number of injured people as two trains collided in Upper Egypt’s Sohag rises to 84.

# Egypt’s national railway authority stated that “unknown vandals” pulled the emergency brake lever from one of the trains heading from Luxor to Alexandria, so it stopped dead in its tracks. While the other train heading from Cairo to Aswan crashed into it at 11.42 am.

Transport Ministry: the 2 trains in Upper Egypt’s Sohag collided after unknown passengers pulled the first train’s emergency valve, causing it to stop and get smashed by the other one from behind.

The collision of train created chaos in the field, and people are looking for their family members. The accidents of trains are nothing new in Egypt, and it became usual in the nation.

Egypt’s railway system has a story of poorly maintained machinery and poor management. Established figures reveal that 1,793 train accidents took place in 2017 across the nation.

In the year 2018, a traveller train crashed near the southern city of Aswan, injuring at least six people and assisting governments in firing the chief of the nation’s railways.
