Georgetown, Guyana: The Ministry of Health of Guyana has recently hosted a Dental Outreach at the East Coast Demerara region. The main objective behind the outreach programme was to provide dental benefits to the residents and citizens of the country.

As per the update by the Health Ministry, last Saturday, the Minister of Health of Guyana, Dr Frank Anthony, conducted a walk-through at the Dental Outreach held at the Victoria Health Centre, East Coast of Demerara.

During the event, the residents turned out in their numbers to access dental counselling, check-ups, fillings, and medical services.

This outreach was hosted by the Ministry of Health’s Cheddi Jagan Dental School and is part of the ongoing outreach programmes being organised by the department.

The Health Minister expressed appreciation for this service and made a public call for members in other communities to reach out to the MoH to have more outreach done.

“We’re planning a number of these types of dental outreaches on the east coast, and so if other communities would like to have dental outreach, they can tell us at the ministry, and we would be willing to organise it for you”, he said, as per the reports.

Currently, the Ministry of Health has extended its dental services to all ten administrative regions. Residents can now enjoy these services for free at any of the public institutions.
