Grenada to host the “I Can” Youth Leadership Summit on Friday, 19th January, 2024, at the Radisson Beach Resort. The summit will take place from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The symposium will be held on the 50th anniversary of the Independence celebration.

It is to be noted that the 50th Independence secretariat partnered with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Grenada National Accreditation Board.

The tagline of the summit is “I Can! You Can! We Can.” The event is being conducted with the motive to unite all the youth leaders of the nation. It will bring young minds of the nation into a collaborative discussion and focused conference.

Through this conference, the youth leaders will share their experiences and provide information on the ways young minds can realize their potential as leaders. This conference will play a pivotal role in guiding the youth and promoting their leadership qualities within their schools, organizations, communities and nationwide.

It is to be further added that nearly 400 youth have registered their entries for the summit. The people from the ages 14-30 will have the opportunity to hear the talks of the dynamic youth leaders and speakers. The mentors will motivate and encourage young minds to “Achieve”, “Conquer”, “Win” and “Prosper” in the different fields of interest.

Moreover, the Keynote speaker of the symposium will be Bevon Charles, who will lead the charge and kick off what promises to be an empowering event.

The Upcoming events of the 50th anniversary of the Independence celebration

The Independence Calypso Monarch is just a day away, as it will be conducted on Saturday, 20th January 2024, at La Sagesse, St. David. In this event, 20 Calypso contenders will compete against each other for the crown and title of the 50th Independence Calypso Monarch.

The event will be followed by a Church Service at the Lauriston Mini Stadium. After that, the Best Village Competition will be held, which will exhibit the beautiful and vibrant culture of the nation. Primary School Quiz will also be held at the Multipurpose Centre in order to promote knowledge among youth.

The Petite Martinique Rally will take place on 30th January. This rally is an innovative and beautiful way of promoting Grenada’s rich cultural heritage.

On 31st Jan, the Minister’s Gala and Award Ceremony will be conducted at Cassada Bay Resort in order to recognize the excellent services of the Individual who plays a pivotal role in promoting the overall development of the island nation.

Grenada’s big concert, “UP FROM HERE,” will take place on Friday 2nd February, 2024. The audience will be able to celebrate the electrifying performances of over 50 performers. Along with that, Seven Live Bands and Exclusively Grenadian Cast will also grace the event through their performances.
