Grenada: Pro-Bono Women’s Clinic inaugurated, to promote healthcare
McKinney Foundation for Women’s Health inaugurated Pro-Bono Women’s Clinic for enhancing women’s healthcare.

The Government of Grenada focused on the initiative of enhancing women’s healthcare in the small island nation by inaugurating the Pro-Bono Women’s Clinic at the Grenada Investment Development Corporation (GIDC) Building, Frequente Industrial Park, St George.
It is to be noted that the inauguration was conducted by the McKinney Foundation for Women’s Health on 8th January 2024. The event was attended by both Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell and Minister for Health Philip Telesford.
It is to be further added that Dr Timothy McKinney, an alumnus of St George’s University and the visionary behind the International Organization for Women and Development (IOWD), laid the foundation of the Pro-Bono Women’s Clinic. The main purpose behind this clinic is to promote healthy well-being among women and provide them with the best healthcare facilities.
It is to be added that Dr McKinney’s major focus towards working on the techniques to nourish women’s health mainly got a push during his medical education in Grenada and was inspired by his anatomy professor, Dr Rao.
Moreover, the Government of Grenada has promised to extend its support to the island’s officials and medical professionals. They have stated that “Dr McKinney’s Pro-Bono Women’s clinic will play a pivotal role in bringing all the volunteer medical professionals together with the motive to offer care and perform surgeries on the patients. They will also train all the local health workers.”
The Government has extended their gratitude to Dr McKinney for their unwavering commitment and dedication towards the well-being of the citizens. The Government is also looking forward to the positive impact that the clinic can bring into the lives of the Grenadian citizens, especially the women of the island nation.

The recent meetings of the Government of Grenada have also highlighted their vision towards bringing health reforms to the nation.
Their goal of creating a properly formed and comprehensive approach also sheds light upon their dedication towards the enhancement of the nation’s current health infrastructure.
