Grenada: A hostile situation occurred in St David, Grenada, on Friday when a target vehicle during a mid-morning operation by the drug squad unit encountered hostility early morning at 9:30 am.
According to police, in an attempt to intercept the vehicle, the driver crashed into another unsuspecting vehicle and the police vehicle while attempting to escape. As a result of this, the officers discharged their firearms towards the car, making contact with one of the tyres, which was deflated. However, the vehicle continued to run away.
The occupants escaped the scene, resulting in pursuit by the police. Who later found the vehicle abandoned. The car, which is of white Suzuki Escudo, registration number PAN 813, was impounded, and investigations are ongoing, said police.
The Royal Grenada Police Force has asked for the general public’s assistance in identifying the occupants of the vehicle at the time of this incident.
