Firearm & ammo seize in Flowerpot Beach, following TTPS exercise
TTPS officers seized one revolver, loaded with four rounds of ammunition from the suspect in the Flowerpot Beach during anti-crime exercise.

Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago: The TTPS officers conducted an anti-crime operation near the Flowerpot Beach, which resulted in the recovery of two firearms and ammunition. The police have arrested a male in connection to the findings.
The police revealed that the task force officers were informed about a person, who was observed with a firearm. The investigating officers responded to the information, while they were in the Southern Division.
According to the TTPS reports, the officials headed towards Flowerpot Beach near Pointe-A-Pierre and conducted a thorough search for the suspect.
Following the efforts, they managed to find the man and they seized several items from him, including one revolver, loaded with four rounds of ammunition. The suspect was identified as the 25-year-old, who resided at the Claxton Bay.
He was immediately arrested by the officers in connection to the findings and was taken under police custody for further inquiries. Notably, the officers conducted another anti-crime exercise, following a report filed to them about a shotgun.
The officials of the Penal Police Station moved to Gopie Trace at around 3 pm on Monday and executed a search in a bushy area. While searching, they found a sawed-off shotgun, along with two cartridges.
The investigations are ongoing into the two above matters. The authorities encouraged the citizens with any information regarding the shotgun to record their statement in the nearby police division.
Additionally, the TTPS ranks are conducting such anti-crime operation on every alternate day, which reflects their unwavering commitment against the criminal activities. Due to such efforts, the officers are receiving appreciation from all over the nation. Some of the comments read as,
While reacting to the news, a person named Leela Rampersad commented, “Wow. I am so happy to read this. Great work TTPS. Stay safe while protecting our country.”
Another comment from the person, David Anthony Morton read as, “Great job P.S keep on going at those Criminal Elements one eligal firearm removal from T and T a day will save plenty citizens lives.”
The authorities expressed their commitment to working dedicatedly to combat the issue of increasing crimes in the country. They assured the people that every possible measure would be implemented against criminal activities in Trinidad and Tobago.
