Europe: Popi Tsapanidou becomes SYRIZA representative, MEP Elena Kountoura welcomes her
Member of Parliament and Greece Politician Elena Kountoura also welcomed the newly elected representative of SYRIZA.

Europe: The well-known journalist Popi Tsapanidou is the new face of SYRIZA as she takes over as the party’s press representative.
Popi Tsapanidou resigned from OPEN, and a little while later, it became known that she was taking on new duties.
This news was publically shared by the President of the SYRIZA-PS, Alexis Tsipras, through his social media account. The Facebook post by Tsipras mentioned, “2023 we all deserve to be a better year. The year of great victory and political change. Which will come an hour sooner if we ourselves become the change we expect.”
He announced that from the New Year, Popi Tsapanidou would be SYRIZA – PS Spokesperson. He welcomed her and thanked her for accepting the proposal.
“Popi, an excellent journalist, modern woman and mother, I am sure will contribute decisively to our common struggle,” he outlined.
Alexis further stated that “I want to thank Nassos Iliopoulos, who has represented us with combativeness and adequacy to this day.”
As per the post by the SYRIZA-PS, she will be a candidate in Athens A, and at the same time, from the position of responsibility for strategic communications, she will continue to contribute to the election battle.
Member of Parliament and Greece Politician Elena Kountoura also welcomed the newly elected representative of the political alliance. “I welcome Popi Tsapanidou and wish her every success in her new duties,” he stated on social media and welcomed her.
