Dragon fruit training in Trinidad to benefit farmers

Trinidad and Tobago: The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries made an announcement for the Dragon Fruit Training in Trinidad and Tobago with the objective of Empowering Farmers.

The Dragon Fruit is high in demand as it is the latest trend. Also, it can be majorly seen at the food stalls across the region and is used in many desserts and beverages. 

Considerably, by this training session, the agriculture ministry is in the move to promote the production of exotic fruit with the recent addition to the 2024 roster of free training courses; Dragon Fruit Production.

Such training are very beneficial for the farmers engaged with the dragon fruit production as it will provide an aid to the farmers in upgrading the farming techniques which can give a boost to the selling activities of the fruit.

Even, Curtis Ragoobar, Farmer – Regional Administration North on this outlined the benefits of this training by adding the exaggerated selling strategies. He highlighted the use of this fruit (Dragon Fruit)  in soaps, jams and wines.

He also added that it will give the ideas of diversification. Importantly, under this training, the knowledge about cultivation propagandas, soil types will be provided in detail which will help in the advanced and effective ways of farming.

Even the public is presenting their interests in this and is appreciating the efforts of the ministry of the country, which is taking the initiatives for the betterment of the country. Also, the European Business Chamber in Trinidad and Tobago congratulated the ministry for this.

“Congratulations to the Ministry on identifying and promoting this high-value fruit with great export potential,” commented the European Business Chamber in Trinidad and Tobago.

Significantly, the training will mark an additional facility to be given in this form to the local farmers of the country for their and overall development.
