Dominica: Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, has shared the updates of his meeting with two important sectors for the upliftment of the nation.
On Friday, November 11, 2022, Prime Minister Skerrit welcomed a group of business leaders on Friday to hear their perspectives on Government’s policies and programmes and their recommendations for placing our country on a path to greater resilience, economic independence and wealth creation.
Prime Minister Skerrit expressed gratitude towards the guest and stated, “I thank them for the engagement and for freely sharing their views on issues related to the facilitation of business activity and job creation.”
On the same day, PM Skerrit met with the unions of Dominica and discussed about the key public sectors and measures to raise the efficiency in the sectors.
“I met with members of the various unions representing public sector employees to articulate these measures further and discuss proposals to increase professionalism and efficiency within the sector,” Prime Minister Skerrit stated in his social media post.
Within his post, he stated that in his Independence Day address on November 3, he announced a number of measures to benefit public officers, including teachers and police officers, and to build strong and effective governance structures.
