Dame Kelly Holmes explores Saint Lucia’s attractions, praises island

The retired British Olympic gold medalist, TV presenter, social media influencer, and journalist, Dame Kelly Holmes has arrived in Saint Lucia for exploring the diverse attractions and offerings of the island nation.

Dame Kelly Holmes, a retired British middle-distance athlete is an Olympic Commonwealth games and European champion. She has achieved 7 gold, 8 silver and 4 bronze medals throughout her career, standing out as the shining star for her country on an international platform. She is famously known for her exemplary wins in the 800m and 1,500m at the 2004 Athens Olympics.

On her visit to Saint Lucia, Dame Kelly participated at the 3-Peak Challenge. It includes, hiking Gros Piton (2,618.9 ft), Petite Piton (2,438 ft), and the tallest mountain in Saint Lucia, Mt. Gimie, climbing at 3120 ft. She was joined by Saint Lucian ultra-runner and adventure guide, Julian Toussaint who led her way through these breathtaking climbs.

Dame Kelly Holmes also enjoyed various adventurous activities in order to make the most of her trip and have an unforgettable experience at the island nation. The activities experienced by her includes, Chocolate Making with Project Chocolate, Ziplining with Rain Forest Sky Rides, Sulphur Springs & Mud Bath with SRDF, Fond Doux Estate Lunch & Estate Tour, Sailing with Just Sail and Snuba with Sea Trek Saint Lucia.

The Tourism Authority of Saint Lucia shared the glimpses of Dame Kelly climbing the mountains. They said that the island nation is quickly becoming the place for champions, being the home of Julien Alfred.

Dame Kelly Holmes has been enjoying diverse attractions and hotspots of Saint Lucia, having a gala time during her visit to the island nation. Sharing the glimpses of her trip to the island nation on her official Instagram handle, Dame Kelly praised the delicious breakfast, incredible view and the warm hospitality of the country.

“Delicious breakfast at the amazing Ladera Resort which was contemplating the climb up Petite Piton in Saint Lucia. What an incredible view and the breakfast was amazing,” stated the retired athlete.

This report is located in the South and overlooks the two famous Pitons Gros and Petite and Sugar Beach. Dame Kelly Holmes is further aiming to explore the beautiful waterfalls of the country, aiming to enjoy her trip to Saint Lucia to the fullest. “The mud baths with fab waterfalls-More to come.”
