Caribbean Airlines resumes Kingston-Fort Lauderdale flights in time for holiday season

The regional air carrier Caribbean Airlines has announced the much-anticipated reintroduction of its flights between Kingston, Jamaica, and Fort Lauderdale, USA. This service will restart from December 15, 2024 onwards, easing the diaspora seeking to visit the island during the holiday season.

According to the information, the airline will offer all economy flights which will operate thrice a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

It is being said that this re-established route in the upcoming holiday season will enhance connectivity for passengers travelling between Jamaica and South Florida and will provide increased options along with convenience.

The airline noted that the flights between Kingston and Fort Lauderdale will be available for booking immediately through the official website of Caribbean Airlines as well as through the travel agency partners of the airline. Not only this, but customers can also look out for a special introductory fare sale, kicking off from Friday, November 1, 2024.

The fares on Tuesday, December 17 and Thursday, December 19 will be as low as $264. The airline is inviting passengers to book their seats at the earliest and take benefit of these special fares from Jamaica to USA.

The CEO of Caribbean Airlines, Garvin Medera highlighted that the airline’s decision to reintroduce this route was based entirely on customer demand as well as direct feedback from the Jamaican diaspora, both in the Caribbean and abroad.

He noted that the return of service between Kingston and Fort Lauderdale is a direct response to the customers’ needs and at Caribbean Airlines, the team is committed to connecting the Caribbean region more effectively, wherever resources allow, in order to ensure that the passengers have greater access to major destinations that are significant to them.

With these additional flights, Caribbean Airlines will continue to boost its mission to connect the Caribbean region to itself as well as to popular destinations across the world, particularly those that hold major value for the nationals of the region and the wider diaspora community.
