Bunch of Marijuana recovered during house raid at Yarrowkabra
Sara Griffith, a 22-year-old man of Yarrowkabra of Soesdyke/ Linden Highway, was apprehended for the possession of 365 grams of Marijuana.

Georgetown, Guyana: Sara Griffith, a 22-year-old man of Yarrowkabra of Soesdyke/ Linden Highway, was apprehended for the possession of 365 grams of Marijuana.
It is to be noted that police ranks conducted a raid on the home of Griffith on Saturday, where they found a bucket containing drugs (Marijuana).
During the police exercise at Yarrowkabra, the two other occupants were also present in the house, namely, Marcus Henry, a 23-year-old labourer and Corwin Simmons, a 21-year-old labourer.
Notably, police found a bucket which contained multiple zip-locks and one black bag containing leaves, seeds and stems suspected to be Cannabis in the Kitchen area of the flat wooden house.
Further to this, Griffith and the other two occupants were all told of the offence committed, and they were arrested. Police took them into custody at Timehri Police Station.
It is to be added in the remarks of police that the suspected Cannabis was weighed in the presence of suspects, and it amounted to 365 grams.
Moreover, all three accused are slated to be charged.
Additionally, on the same day, a 48-year-old man from Lancaster, Unity Mahaica from ECD, was arrested for possession of illegal drugs during a police raid on Sunday.
It is to be noted that police from Mahaica, Cove and John stations conducted a cordon and search exercise on the premises of 48-Y-O man.
Officials recovered a bag, and a search was conducted on the bag. Officials recovered the following items from the bag:
– A quantity of seeds, leaves and stems that are suspected to be Cannabis
– A quantity of whitish rock-like substances suspected to be cocaine
– Nine transparent zip-lock bags containing suspected methamphetamine
Further, Seeds and stems were weighed in the presence of the accused, and the items amounted to 128 grams. The investigation of the matter is ongoing, and a 48-year-old man is currently taken into police custody.
