Belize: COVID-19 Outbreak at Residential Care Facility

Belize: The Ministry of Health & Wellness of Belize declares outbreak of Covid-19 at Residential Care Facility(Palm View Center) in Belmopan. The Palm view center is known as a mental health care center, which includes a total of 27 residents.

The center confirms 21 out of 27 residents and seven other staff members found positive for coronavirus since the previous day. Fortunately, no death has been observed (January 4, 2021).

According to the Authorities of Health and Wellness, they have tested all the respective people present there. Staff members and other residents who are asymptomatic are under isolation as chances are still there. People who found negative they are relocated to another place for their well being.

The health of ministry stated, “We must follow the World Health Organisation precautions.” Safeguards are always better than a Cure. Many flights have been restricted for limiting the extent of the newest alteration of deadly coronavirus.

According to observational reports, more than 14 million people have been tested positive for dangerous, deadly coronavirus. Half of them are suffering from numerous more complications. Hence, strict lockdown regulations have been applied in the respective member states of several countries.

Every country is seeking vaccines that can restrict the expansion of covid-19 so as Belize.
Health Ministry urged their country to follow the guidelines, wear their masks, and social distancing to protect their loved ones and themselves.

Novel UK strain of coronavirus also appears as a new hurdle in front of the world. Still, the immeasurable thing is that several vaccine companies declared that their vaccines could fight against this novel mutant COVID-19.

Several countries like India, the USA, and Russia had already initiated their vaccination process. In the meantime, the UK is facing a lot of problems due to this new strain. Boris Johnson announced a lockdown in the United Kingdom.
