Weather: Barbados likely to remain cloudy with moderate showers

Barbados weather: The people of Barbados may experience cloudy to overcast skies with prolonged periods of light to moderate rain overnight as a shear line continues to affect the island.

Winds Forecast: Winds will remain gentle in the east-north easterly breeze, which ranges between 20 to 30 km/h (12 to 19 mph) and decreases. 

Marine Forecast: Seas will remain moderate in open water, with swells spanning from 1.5 to 2.5 meters (5 to 8 ft) and increasing.

Dust-Haze Forecast: Notably, no dust haze was detected across the regions of Barbados.

Moreover, Barbados was under flood watch during the last two days, but the conditions have improved.

The air quality is generally acceptable for most individuals; however, the sensitive groups may experience minor to moderate symptoms from long-term exposure.

Friday: The island’s peak accumulation, according to the BMS 3DPAWS automated weather stations, was across the central regions, totalling almost 2 inches. The remainder of the region experienced clear skies as a weak ridge was dominant.

Thursday: A weak ridge will be rebuilt across Barbados and the Windwards, allowing for improved weather conditions.

Light wind speeds, however, encourage localized activity across Barbados and the Windwards during the afternoon hours.

No change is forecast over the northern islands.
