Barbados: Two vaccination sites will administer vaccines on March 26

Barbados: The vaccination pace in the region is quite steady. The Barbadian government and the health ministry organize vaccination camps at different vaccination sites to ease the inconvenience of the citizens.
On March 26, the government has provided the schedule of vaccination for March 26 (Saturday) as well as March 27 (Sunday). As per the vaccination schedule updated by the Immunization Unit, vaccines against COVID-19 will be administered at two (2) vaccination sites between 9 AM to 3 PM on March 26, and on March 27, only one (1) polyclinic will provide the vaccine.
The schedule shared by the Immunization Unit is as follow –
March 26, 2022 (Saturday)
1.) Winston Scott Polyclinic at Jemmott’s Lane, St Michael – 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
2.) Edgar Cochrane Polyclinic at Wildey, St Michael – 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
March 27, 2022 (Sunday)
1.) Harbour Industrial Park (Building No.2), St Michael – 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
The four vaccines against COVID-19 provided by the Barbadian Government are – AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Sinopharm and Johnson & Johnson. As per the government, these will be available at the polyclinics and vaccination centres at the scheduled times only.
The unit has announced that the residents interested in administering the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine must bring their identification cards. On the contrary, the residents should walk in with a blue vaccination card if interested in a second dose.
The booster doses have been available for only three vaccines in Barbados – AstraZeneca, Pfizer and Sinopharm. Citizens can have a booster dose after six months of their second injection. Booster shots of the Pfizer vaccine have been available for students aged 12 years and more.
As per the immunization unit’s notification, people receiving the booster may present either their blue vaccination card or vaccination certificate and valid photo identification.
These vaccination card notifications are same for the overseas travellers.
