Barbados Royals to distribute more than 1000 free tickets for their first match at home ground

Barbados Royals is all set to distribute more than 1000 free tickets of their first match of CPL 2024 at Kensington Oval among the school children. The team will face Antigua and Barbuda Falcons on their first match at the home ground on Wednesday, 11^th September 2024.

This initiative has been undertaken by the Barbados Royals Franchise with a vision to attract large number of young fans to the excitement of professional cricket. The management of the franchise aims to engage youth towards the support cricket development across the island.

While shedding light on this initiative, the Chief Executive Officer, Jake Lush McCrum expressed his excitement and stated that they want to acknowledge the unique connection that Barbadians have towards the sport, especially the cricket.

He stated that Cricket holds a huge place in the hearts and minds of the Caribbean people. He, therefore, noted to inspire young fans to become lifelong supporters and participants of the game. He stated that this initiative undertaken by them holds the capacity to attract school children by giving them an opportunity to experience the excitement of the CPL firsthand.

CEO Jake added that they are looking forward to welcome their supporters and enjoy what promises to be an enthralling match on Wednesday.

Notably, Barbados Royals has played two games as of now in the Caribbean Premier League 2024. The commencement of the tournament for the Franchise was with their game against Antigua and Barbuda Falcons, in which they ended up winning the thriller match by 9 wickets.

They played their second match of the tournament on 7^th September 2024 against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, defeated the team by 2 wickets with just one ball left.

By winning both the games that they have played, the Barbados Royals manages to stand at the second position in the points table, just behind Guyana Amazon Warriors. The Royals is now standing tall with 4 points, having the positive net run rate of 1.210.

Moreover, the Kensington Oval at Bridgetown has till now hosted 11 CPL matches from 2019 to 2023. The average first innings score in CPL in these editions at the venue scored is 167 and 125 in the second innings. Meanwhile, the highest score in Caribbean Premier League in CPL in these editions at the venue is 223 and 61 being the lowest score.

As per the probability the toss win to match win percentage is 45.45%. And, as per the predictions, Barbados Royals have the highest probability of 80% of winning this match because of home conditions and current form.
