Antigua and Barbuda claimed the title of OECS Swimming Championship for the third time in a row. They secured the 32nd OECS Swimming Championship with an impressive total of 1419 points, defeating 8 other teams to emerged as the winner.

The 32nd OECS Swimming Championship was conducted from 8th November to 10th November, 2024 in St Vincent and the Grenadines at the Shrewsbury Aquatic Centre. This event brought swimmers from 9 Eastern Caribbean nations together to participate in this competition and showcase their skills, abilities and techniques.
This achievement by Antigua and Barbuda underscores the talent and dedication of all the athletes who represented the nation with pride and excellence. As per the details, Antigua and Barbuda topped the Women’s rankings with 741 points. They also secured first position in Men’s category, bringing their overall score to 1419 points.
Grenada was placed second overall in the OECS Swimming Championships over the weekend. Out of the 34 swimmers participated in the competition, 20 of them obtained medals. The Grenada team claimed a total of 114 medals, which includes, 34 gold, 33 silver and 46 bronze medals respectively.
Also, more than half of the number of team members achieved their personal best times, showcasing their excellence throughout the tournament.
The host nation, St Vincent and the Grenadines secured the third position with a total of 1102 points. The Women’s team scored 487, while the Men’s team contributed 577 points.
The Saint Lucia team secured 4th place at the 32nd OECS Swimming Championships, scoring 1071.50 points. The Aquatics Federation lauded the team for their efforts and aimed to continue to make efforts for the betterment and development of the nation.
