Bahamas is now in Level 3 travel advisory of CDC
The Bahamas island is now kept in Level 3 travel advisory from Level 4 by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention -(CDC), making it a low-risk destination for travellers.

The Bahamas island is now kept in Level 3 travel advisory from Level 4 by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention -(CDC), making it a low-risk destination for travellers.
In the past few weeks, the island country saw a decline in its daily COVID-19 infections while witnessing an increase in the number of inoculated population, following which it has been placed in Level 3 by CDC.
The mandate travel requirements such as – fully vaccinated and the unvaccinated individuals would be required to present a negative COVID-19 test (either RT-PCR and Rapid antigen test), which must not have been taken more than five days prior to their travel, played a significant role to curb the spread of the deadliest COVID-19 virus.
Bahamas’ Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation noted that vigilance is necessary as precautions would continue to be in place in order to assure the safety of residents and visitors.
Chester Cooper – the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments & Aviation, asserted, “This lowered advisory is a proof that what we are doing is working – but it does not mean we can waiver at this critical turning point. I have no doubt if we all continue to work together, we’ll see tremendous growth across our tourism sectors”.
He further highlighted that tourism is a “lifeblood” of the island’s economy, adding that the Bahamas administration is making every possible effort to – ensure that COVID-19 health protocols are kept in place to make sure the safety of residents and international travellers.
Bahamian government will monitor each island individually so that it can enact protective measures accordingly, which will also assist the administration in tackling the hike in COVID infections in each island.
