Now the interim PM Claude Joseph would step down his authority. At the same time, he was leading Haiti as a PM with the support of police and the military since the death of President Jovenel Moise.
Haiti Elections Minister Mathias Pierre said that negotiations had been still in course, and Joseph would go back to being the minister of foreign affairs.
Ariel Henry said that he wants to present his compliments to the Haitian people who had shown political maturity in the face of what could be considered a coup. Their Haitian brothers gave peace a chance, while leaving the possibility that the truth could one day be restored. Now that has been up to all the national leaders to walk together in unity towards the same goal, to show that they would be responsible.
The Core Group is composed of ambassadors from Germany, Brazil, Canada, Spain, the U.S., France, the European Union and representatives from the United Nations and the Organization of American States.
According to the statement issued on Monday by the U.N. issued through which U.N. said Joseph, Henry and other national stakeholders to set aside differences and engage in constructive dialogue to move forward on ways to end the current impasse.
