Antigua and Barbuda HC invites Commonwealth writers to compete in Short Story Competition

St John’s, Antigua and Barbuda: Antigua and Barbuda High Commission in London, the United Kingdom, invited writers from across the Commonwealth region. This call is to invite the public to come and attend the Commonwealth Short Story Competition and bag the prize.
The authorities took to social media to extend their invitation and noted, “Calling all aspiring writers from the Commonwealth!”
Furthermore, it stated to get ready to unleash your creativity because the Commonwealth Short Story Prize is back and better than ever.
“What’s at stake? The chance to win a £5,000 prize,” it stated while emphasising the prize money.
According to the update shared by the High Commission of Antigua and Barbuda, this prestigious competition is open to citizens of all 56 Commonwealth countries aged 18 and over. To enter, all you need is a captivating short story ranging from 2,000 to 5,000 words.
While elaborating on the entry process, it mentioned that entry into the competition will be free of cost and is open to everyone regardless of their experience. “The best part? It won’t cost you a penny to enter! This competition is open to everyone, regardless of your writing experience,” the update informed.
It further claimed, “Mark your calendars! Submissions open on 1st September and close on 1st November 2023.”

The High Commission concluded, “Don’t miss your chance to make your mark on the literary world. Start crafting your masterpiece now!”
Many of the interested candidates showed their enthusiasm and commented to know details about the competition. Along with this, some also thanked the government for organising such competitions and events.
