American Airlines lands at Antigua and Barbuda after Tropical Storm Ernesto
The aircraft was operated by Brian Bizzle Chase who arrived 20 minutes ahead of its scheduled time and executed a smooth landing.

Antigua and Barbuda: American Airlines landed at the V.C. Bird International Airport following Tropical Storm Ernesto. The arrival of the airline is a testament to the unwavering commitment and dedication of the aviation team to getting the airport back to full operations.
The aircraft was operated by Brian Bizzle Chase who arrived 20 minutes ahead of its scheduled time and executed a smooth landing. However, in the first go, the aircraft had to cancel its landing because of strong winds. But they tried again and successfully landed the plane while attempting for the second attempt.
Following the arrival of American Airlines at the airport, everyone lauded aviation team and acknowledged their dedication to continue to keep Antigua and Barbuda connected to the rest of the world. The aviation team also expressed their gratitude and stated that Antigua is always open for adventure.
Antigua and Barbuda and American Airlines shares a strong relation as it offers several services to the country, bringing over a large number of travellers. Recently, the Antiguan Bernel Simon also soared back to his nation as American Airlines captain.
He was welcomed with a water cannon salute at V.C. Bird International Airport. He proudly waved the Antigua and Barbuda flag from the flight deck, celebrating a 10-year aviation career with American Airlines and an upgrade to captain in the company of family and friends.
Also, the airline expanded its services to Antigua and Barbuda for Summer 2024. The airlines introduced a daily nonstop flight services from Miami to Antigua from 5th June and will continue to offer until 3rd September 2024.
While shedding light on these services, the Minister of Tourism of Antigua and Barbuda, Charles Fernandez expressed excitement and stated that these services have played a huge role in boosting the airlift sector of the country.
The CEO of Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority, Colin James also stated that the additional airlift scheduled for Summer 2024 has been crucial in meeting the rising demand, with expectations to surpass the arrivals of the benchmark year 2019.
He stated that the services with American Airlines have elevated the tourism sector to greater heights. He added that the consumers have benefitted from greater travel options, which have allowed them to connect easily to the country.
The tourism authority of Antigua and Barbuda stated that the services offered by American Airlines to the island nation have always been very beneficial for the growth of the country. They noted that they will continue to make efforts in order to enhance their relations and air-connectivity, with a vision to provide all the passengers with memorable experiences.
