All you need to know about Khalia Hall – Miss Jamaica World 2021
Khalia Hall, a 25-year-old mechanical engineering, has been crowned as Miss Jamaica World on Saturday.

Kingston, Jamaica: Khalia Hall, a 25-year-old mechanical engineering, has been crowned as Miss Jamaica World on Saturday.
Khalia has completed her graduation from St Ann. She beats 14 other finalists to take the crown at the pageant’s grand coronation at the Courtleigh Auditorium in New Kingston.
Dominique Shorter and Melessa Vassell were the first runner-up and second runner-up, respectively.
Hall, who has a masters in the mechanical engineering from – the University of Manchester in the – United Kingdom, will now go on to represent Jamaica in the “Miss World grand finale” at the – Coliseo de Puerto Rico Jose Miguel Agrelot in – San Juan on December 16.
She will be competing for the crown, now held by fellow Jamaican Toni-Ann Singh, against beauty queens from some 122 other countries.
The sectional awards –
Five sectional awards were presented in the grand finale, which were awarded to the following individuals –
- Miss Whitter Village Toni-Ann Lalor received the award for- Best Personality;
- Miss TM Ross Beauty Shinell Mills, – the contestant selected for – Most Congenial;
- Miss Nationwide – News Brithney Clarke, – the Multimedia Award;
- Miss LP Azar Jamela Rookwood, – as the Most Photogenic
- and Miss Mushroom Kerrion Erskine, Most Improved.
Hall is head cook and bottle washer at plant-based food delivery service Shibumi Jamaica and a food blogger at Mix Up and Blenda.
She describes herself as a ‘health and nutrition enthusiast’ and ‘mechanical engineer-turned-foodie’ and has long had a desire to be a part of the ‘Miss Jamaica World competition’.
She further added that entering the pageant was something “in the back of my mind from I was a little girl”.
The fourth Jamaican to win the – Miss World title, she is the longest-reigning Miss World owing to the coronavirus pandemic and the postponement of the 2020 competition.
