Trinidad and Tobago: Three persons, among a pregnant woman, were shot in Port of Spain on Tuesday.
According to the preliminary information, Brandon Chirchton has died following the shooting in the region.
Police have informed that of the total, there was one woman and two men. The 30-year-old pregnant woman got a bullet in her left shoulder, and a 34-year-old man was attacked to the right abdomen.
As per the information by the medical staff, both were rushed to the hospital and are in stable condition at the Port of Spain General Hospital. The information shared was an update up to 9 am on Tuesday, February 15.
While explaining the incident, the police stated that at around 2:45 pm, a silver Nissan Tiida was seen driving along Duncan Street, and while reaching the Queen Street, the car came to a stop. After stopping, a man came out holding a firearm and started shooting at a group of people standing near the corner.
This shooting led to the injury to the three people; of these, one was killed. Police have arrived at the spot, and they were taken to the hospital, where their treatment was undergoing.
Shortly after, officers of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) found the getaway car abandoned in Leau Place. The scene was inspected by the team of officers of the task force, led by Inspector Steward and Sgt Ramsumir.
Police from the Homicide Bureau of Investigation Region said that they have been continuing inquiries in the matter and the culprit would be behind bars as soon as possible.
