3 members to represent Dominica at OECS Swimming Championship after 20 years
OECS Swimming Championship 2024 is an incredible opportunity for all the athletes as it is a great platform for them to showcase their dedication and passion for the sport.

Jaevon Robin, Eirene Jean-Jacques, and Rayquan Royer registered history by becoming the first members of the national swim team to represent Dominica at the OECS Swimming Championship 2024 in 20 years.
The 32nd edition of the OECS Swimming Championship began on Friday, 8th November, 2024 and will continue to take place till 10th November, 2024. This championship is all set to offer an unforgettable and exciting few days of competition, with 9 countries and over 170 swimmers to compete for the prestigious title of the OECS Swimming Championship 2024.
This championship is taking place in Shrewsbury Aquatic Center in Ratho Mill, St Vicent and the Grenadines, being conducted under the sanction of the SVGSF.
As per the details, the athletes representing Dominica, Jaevon Robin, Eirene Jean-Jacques, and Rayquan Royer are competing in the 50m and 100m freestyle events and are aiming to bring laurels to their nation by claiming the ultimate title.
The Dominica Amateur Swimming Association extended best wishes to all the athletes who are representing the island nation after two decades. They also shed light on the challenges that these athletes have faced, especially training without a dedicated swimming facility on the island.
However, all these athletes have always showcased their unwavering determination, commitment and positive attitude. The Association also mentioned about the participation of the athletes in training camps which was conducted in Saint Lucia in both July and October.
The association stated that this dedication showcased by the athletes shed light on their determination and commitment to succeed on the regional stage. “Best wishes to Jaevon, Eirene, and Rayquan as they proudly represent Dominica.”
As per the details, all these three swimmers were headed to Saint Lucia to participate in Hype Swim Camp. This camp took place from 17th October – 22nd October, 2024 which focused on developing several skills among all the swimmers.
The skills that were taught to the athletes include, physiological capacities, aerobic endurance and anaerobic power, aimed at helping them improve and enhancing their performance times.

Moreover, the Countrystyle Bakery Marigot also mentioned about sponsoring local athletes at OECS Swimming Championship. They stated that they are happy to sponsor two talented athletes from the Marigot community as they are proudly representing Dominica in St Vincent.
