22,267 people recovered from COVID-19 virus in Trinidad and Tobago

Port of Spain: Ministry of Health in Trinidad and Tobago public its COVID-19 update through a media release. This media release shows the clinical updation till 4 pm on June 22 2021.
Till present total of 2,18,568 tests have been conducted in Trinidad and Tobago at both public and private facilities. In these total tests, 30,982 confirmed cases had been reported from March 2020 till present, out of which 22,267 have been fortunately recovered.
The total number of positive patients in Trinidad and Tobago had reached 7,954 in this 215 are new cases that had been reported recently in the last 24 hrs.
The hospitals have been occupied by 419 patients at present in T&T. 761 patients have also died due to the COVID-19 virus in the country.
Till 4 pm 1,79,631 patients have been given the first dose of COVID-19 vaccines out of these vaccinated persons 88,267 got
AstraZeneca Oxford vaccine, 91,164 got Sinopharm vaccine and 200 doses of Pfizer. Thus,45,567 out of the total population got fully vaccinated.
105 patients have been discharged from the public health facilities, and 290 have been recovered community cases. Recovered community cases are categorised in them those who have been infected by COVID-19 virus, and they were in self-isolation, and after reaching the discharge, criteria had been released from self-isolation.
14 additional deaths have also been reported on Thursday. From the 14 deads, 5 were elderly males, 4 elderly female and 2 middle-aged male, 1 elderly male with 1 middle-aged female. These deaths have been declared the lowest number of covid-19 deaths since May.
The second-lowest estimate of deaths for the week was recorded on Monday by seven.
The additional cases were taken from samples for the period June.
The ministry urges the public to continue obeying the Public Health Regulations, obey regular hand hygiene and keep physical distancing in public to withdraw from spreading the virus.
