New theme unveiled for St Kitts and Nevis Independence 41

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Vincia Alexander of Lime Kiln Project Extension gave the theme for the 41st St Kitts and Nevis anniversary of Independence. The theme “Together, a People, Proud and Strong: Independence 41” was selected through a competition in which Vincia gave the best theme out of over 200 people who participated in it.
The winner of the theme was announced by Dr Terrance Drew, the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis at the sitting of the National Assembly on Friday. He extended congratulations to Vincia and stated that this theme shed light on the essence of the national identity.
St Kitts and Nevis will celebrate its 41st anniversary in September 2024 featuring several activities and events with a vision to celebrate the vibrant culture and traditions of the country. The celebration will include several programmes aiming to provide an opportunity to the citizens of the nation to showcase their talent, creativity, abilities and skills.
While shedding light on the winning theme, the leader of the nation also added that it is a reminder to commemorate the collective achievements and to continue building a future filled with hope and togetherness. He further added that this theme reflects on fostering unity and brotherhood among the citizens of the island nation.
Therefore, he asked all his countrymen to come together and celebrate the 41st anniversary and commemorate the struggle of the national heroes who made several sacrifices and lead their country towards independence. He further added that this crucial milestone of celebrating 41 years of independence will be filled with cultural and community events, reflecting the pride and joyous festivity.
PM Drew also stated that as they are approaching towards September, the nation gears up for a month which is filled with pride and enthusiasm and to lead the country towards stronger and united future. The theme resonates deeply with the vibrant spirit of the nation which focuses on strengthening togetherness and collective achievements.
Dr Marcus L. Natta, the Cabinet Secretary also added that this theme is a powerful reminder of the resilience and harmony that truly define the essence of St Kitts and Nevis. On the other hand, Viera Galloway, Director in the Prime Minister’s Office stated that this theme will play a huge role in inspiring the celebrations and bring the people of the nation even closer together.
