St Kitts and Nevis: Dr Denzil Douglas, a political leader of the St Kitts – Nevis Labour Party, visited the St Paul’s Community accompanied by Dr Joyelle Clarke, responsible for sustainable development, and her team of technocrats.
The team was from the department of Land and Survey, Land Sales and physical planning. The Minister shared the information through his social media handle and added that while visiting, they got to know about the concerns of the citizens residing in the area.
Minister Douglas mentioned, “We listened to the concerns of residents, especially those who are at risk for soil slippage in residential areas, and also observed some of the challenges they are experiencing.”
Such an exercise commits the minister’s dedication to his work, people, and country. Even the community appreciated the efforts the minister has been making to develop the country.
“Keep working for the people Hon. Denzil Llewellyn Douglas, God continued blessings on you,” commented one of the citizens.
He also shared the glimpses of the visit through the social post.
Considerably, Minister Douglas is the second Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, he also holds the record of the longest serving PM in the country. He has administered the country for 20 years (from 1995 to 2015) and has greatly contributed towards its development.
The country has experienced continuous growth and is still on the same path, which clearly reveals the commitment of the national leaders to making it stand out of the queue. To this, an example is clear, last year (2023), it was announced that the Saddlers Secondary School would be named after Dr Denzil Douglas in 2024.
Such an announcement is the true epitome of his contribution towards the country. His commitment to a sustainable and prosperous future for St Kitt and Nevis is a clear example of all the actions he has been taking ever since.
