Denzil Douglas turns 71, celebrates birthday on Sunday

Denzil Douglas, Minister of Foreign Affairs of St Kitts and Nevis turned 71 as he celebrated his birthday on Sunday by sending blessing to countrymen. He expressed his happiness and recalled the passing years.

Denzil Douglas, Minister of Foreign Affairs of St Kitts and Nevis, turned 71 as he celebrated his birthday on Sunday by sending blessings to countrymen. He expressed his happiness and recalled the passing years.

While remembering his past memories, Minister Douglas stated, “On this date 71 years ago, Charles and Lauretta Douglas welcomed a bouncing, healthy baby boy named Denzil Llewellyn into this world.”

Minister stated that he was only one year old when his mother died. Remembering which, he shared an emotional note adding that, “he lost the cuddling arms, love and care of a mother.”

However, he extended gratitude to his father, siblings and other family members and neighbours for taking good care of him and nurturing him with so many good qualities.

Moreover, Minister Douglas took it to social media and wished everyone who was celebrating and sharing their birthdays along with him. “Happy Birthday to all celebrating today; I may not know all of you, but hoping you’re having a wonderful day,” wrote Minister Denzil Douglas as a caption in his Facebook post shared by him.

At the end of the day, the Minister thanked and appreciated everyone for all the love and greetings poured on him.

Notably, the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, also extended his birthday wishes to the Foreign Minister. PM Drew took it to his social media account and shared his pictures with him with the caption, “Join me in extending birthday wishes to the Rt. Hon. Dr Denzil Llewellyn Douglas who is celebrating today. May God continue to bless him and may his day be an enjoyable and memorable one. Dr Geoffrey Hanley, the Deputy Minister of the island nation, also wished the Foreign Minister and his friend a Happy Birthday. While recognising the Minister’s great leadership qualities, he stated, “We value your visionary leadership and wish you a fantastic year ahead. Love and Blessings.”

Furthermore, Minister of Agriculture Samal Duggins also greeted Minister Douglas with birthday wishes and expressed appreciation for his 20 years of excellent leadership. Minister Duggins also extended his gratitude to Denzil Llewellyn Douglas for his unwavering commitment and services for the betterment of the nation.

Thank you for your dedicated service and your continued guidance and wisdom. Further, Minister of Public Infrastructure Konris G Maynard also extended his wishes to the Foreign Minister, stating that it is his absolute pleasure and gratitude to serve the nation along with him. He wrote “Happy Birthday to the Right Dr Denzil Llewellyn Douglas on a cool 71. You are making this age thing look easy, Doc. God Bless you for continued health and strength. It is my absolute pleasure to serve our country along with you as you share your wealth of knowledge and experience.”
