Marabella Police officers seize two firearms in Gasparillo, 45-year-old arrested

Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago: The officers of Marabella Police Station arrested and charged a man in possession of a gun in Gasparillo and seized two firearms during the anti-crime exercise in Southern and North Central Divisions.
As per reports, the accused was identified as a 45-year-old. The officers were given information about a man who was seen with a firearm. They responded to the matter and conducted a search at the Warden Road in Gasparillo at around 10:30 pm.
During the search, they found a man who looked suspicious to them. The police officials approached the man and recovered a pistol loaded with seven rounds of ammunition in his possessions. They arrested a 45-year-old male in connection with the finding.
He was taken to the Marabella Police Division for further inquiries. In a meanwhile, the Task Force Officers of the North Central Division led an intelligence operation on Thursday and Friday respectively at the Champ Fleur district.
As they reached the location, they began their search at Mendez Drive and found one revolver loaded with two rounds of ammunition. The investigations are ongoing for both cases. The authorities urged the public to come forward with any information and assist them with their investigation.
Such stances of crimes are not new in the country as on the same day; police arrested a 35-year-old man from Tobago as officers seized a .38 revolver and four rounds of .38 ammunition from him.
He was taken to the Scarborough Police Station for further questioning and inquiries. He was arrested at the Main Road in Mt Grace, in the vicinity of Harmony Hall Junction.
The police are working diligently to curb the problem of an increase in the criminal activities in the country by conducting anti-crime exercise in various regions of the nation. The people of Trinidad and Tobago are definitely living in a state of fear due to the rise of crimes.
The authorities are asked to take immediate action against such crimes and implement strict laws to reduce the flow of crime in the country.
