Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: The Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, expressed his delight in witnessing everyone enjoying themselves at Jouvert on December 26, 2023.
PM Drew extended his wishes during the Christmas and Carnival as this is the favourite time of the year.
“I enjoyed seeing everyone enjoying themselves at Jouvert earlier today. Christmas and Carnival are my favourite times of the year”, he added.
The prime minister further showcased his excitement about taking part in the Christmas traditions and cultural displays. Moreover, he mentioned about the patriotic pride, which is the main highlight of the festival.

The country’s flag beautifully represents the majority of the people.
“I look forward to partaking in the Christmas traditions and the cultural displays at this time of the year. I particularly loved the patriotic pride this year. Our flag is beautiful and perfectly represents who we are as a people”, PM Drew wrote.

It is to be noted that the leader of St Kitts and Nevis took to his official social media handle (Facebook) to share glimpses of the festivities.
Many people reacted to PM Drew’s post by commenting on it. One such comment by a person named Maureen Fay Webber read, “Blessings PM. Naturally a part of your country’s culture. No fake.”
Another person named Viona Garnett stated, “Yea, PM Dr drew, go take a jump. All the best for the season.”
Recently, the prime minister has also shared Christmas greetings for the people of the Federation, which read, “This time of year holds profound significance for our beloved Federation, serving as an occasion that unites us in shared values, cultural richness, and community spirit. We have a melting pot of culture within our Federation.”

Further, he addressed the nation during the eve of Christmas, with its timeless message of love, kindness and goodwill, encouraging us to reflect on the blessings of family, friendship and the sense of community that defines their nation.
The festival brings laughter, and the warmth of generosity permeates the hearts of people.
