Machel Montano performs at Apollo Theatre, American crowd goes wild

The crowd in New York City, United States of America, sold out in large numbers to attend the electrifying musical performances of Trinidad’s sensation Machel Montano.

Machel Montano is a soca recording artist and record producer known for his high-energy, fast-paced, and often unpredictable on-stage performances. He is considered one of the genre’s most popular artists.

The artist will perform four musical nights at the Apollo Theatre in New York to entertain the audience and make their visit to his show unforgettable and filled with lots of beautiful memories.

In an interview in New York, Machel Montano emphasised on the Soca Music and stated that it has now spread from Trinidad to Barbados, Grenada, Saint Lucia, Guyana, Dominica and several other Caribbean regions.

While referring, Soca Music a symbol of “Unity and Celebration”, Machel Montano stated that the artists representing from every island nation will be performing at the Apollo and represent the rich cultural heritage of the Caribbean region.

He stated that soca music is a genre that is really focused on Carnival and the parades. Adding to it, he remarked that there is a lineup of artists who are making soca music for the world. He ensured to support all those upcoming artists and stated that this was what was going to be on display at the Apollo.

He stated though Apollo is a small venue, it is an iconic place in the history of New York City. He added there is history in the walls, seats, and in its atmosphere, which has launched so many careers, and so many stars have passed through there.

In the four nights of Machel Montano’s schedule to Apollo, he called Night 1 as an amazing. In the day 2, the soca stars, Patrice Roberts, Skinny Fabulous, Nailah Blackman and Pumpa, Cheema Gain accompanied him and gave an electrifying musical performance for the crowd.

The Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Amor Mottley, also attended Machel Montano’s show at The Apollo. While sharing the picture with PM Mottley, Machel Montano noted, “The Most Honourable Special Guest at our last Soca Night at The Apollo!!! Prime Minister Mia Mottley.”

Moreover, Montano called Monday, ‘a calypso night’, he noted that several legends of Calypso will come together to celebrate Caribbean’s music at Apollo.
