LIAT 2020 adds another destination to route, launches inaugural service to Sint Maarten
LIAT 2020 is an innovative and dynamic start-up airline that launched its inaugural flight from Antigua and Barbuda to Saint Lucia in early August.

LIAT 2020 marked its inaugural flight to Princess Juliana International Airport of Sint Maarten on Thursday, 24th October 2024. The arrival of this flight marks the beginning of a new era in connectivity for the Caribbean region, aiming to enhance relations and boost the tourism sector of the island nation.
The airline authorities added that the arrival of LIAT 2020 in Sint Maarten highlights their commitment towards enhancing the route network and providing travellers with seamless travel options. The authorities added that these flight routes will enhance the connectivity between the islands of Antigua, Dominica, St Kitts and Tortola.
The Chief Executive Officer of the airline, Hafsah Abdulsalam stated that he is thrilled to add the destination to the growing network of the carrier. He said that this route network will play a huge role in contributing to the overall development of trade, tourism, and cultural exchange within the Caribbean region.

While emphasising on their future plans, the authorities of the airline added that they are all set to expand their services to Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago and Tortola in the following month. They added that are committed to their target of providing services to 11 destinations, enhancing their connection and network in the Caribbean region.
As per the details, a brief ceremony was conducted by the authorities in order to celebrate the inaugural flight of LIAT 2020 to Sint Maarten. The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries from Sint Maarten and Antigua and Barbuda.
The Chief Executive Officer of Princess Juliana International Airport, Brian Mingo, also attended the ceremony and extended a warm welcome to the airline. He also lauded the airline for their exceptional services and playing a pivotal role in bringing large number of passengers to the country.

Moreover, the Antiguan Ambassador, Brian Challenger also shared his thoughts on the ceremony. He stated that they are looking forward to working with their colleagues and providing all the passengers with plethora of experiences. He added that they are extremely happy to be a part of this exciting experience which promises to enhance relations in the future.

PM Browne, the driving force behind LIAT 2020 noted that this airline has all what the aircraft needed. He called this airline, a great force towards enhancing regional connectivity within the Caribbean region by providing them non-stop and diverse facilities.
