Know Here: Event Schedule for Jazz and Arts Festival, Saint Lucia

Saint Lucia: The calendar for the events which will come under the Jazz and Arts Festival has been introduced by the Cultural Development Foundation. The events scheduled are from May 1, 2024 and are till May 10, 2024.

The festival will spread all the joy in the country and would entertain the citizens of the country and the ones visiting the country. There have been eight events which are introduced for the festival. And, there will be five events under the Saint Lucia Jazz Community Events. These are scheduled from May 1 to May 7.

All the events under Jazz and Arts Festival would offer joyful times in the country.

Event schedule from May 1, 2024 to May 13, 2024

On May 1, there will be a women’s song book (Jazz edition), which will be held at the National Cultural Centre. And, the tickets for the same are $60 USD, $150 OEC, $100 USD, $250 EC which is the premium VIP ticket.

Another event, Genesis – Silver Shadow Dance Premiere will take place on May 4 at the National Cultural Centre. The tickets for the same are worth $30 USD and $80 EC.

Shantaye’s World (Film) Screening will be held two times and the days scheduled for the same are different, that is May 5 (Sunday) and May 9 (Thursday) however, the venue for this is Caribbean Cinemas under the ticket prices; $15 USD and $ 40 EC. The timings for both are different. On May 5, it will take place at 5 pm whereas for May 7, timings scheduled are for 7 pm.

From May 4 to May 13 from 10 am to 6 pm, there will be “Icon Showcase” Llewellyn Xavier Art Exhibition. This is to be held at Orange Grove Plaza and the admission for this is free of the cost.

On May 6, there will be ‘Genesis’ – Silver Shadow Dance Matinee which will be held at the National Cultural Centre. And the tickets for these are $10 USD and $25 EC. On the same day, Voice of the underground, an evening of performance poetry as well, will take place at Harbour Club at 8 pm for which the tickets are worth $40 USD and $100 EC.

Another event, Life in Colour Visual Art Exhibition will stay live from May 6 to May 10 (Monday to Friday) at La Place Carenage. For this, the admission is completely free as there are no ticket charges.

Three other events as well are listed in the calendar that are:

• Jazz and Arts on Square, this will be live from May 8 to May 10 (Wednesday to Friday) from 11 am to 5 pm at Derek Walcott Square.
• Rest two events are for May 9 to May 10, first one in Junior Jazz and other is Ti Tak Sent Lisi – Craft and Souvenir Market. Former one will be held at Serenity Park from 10 am to 3 pm and the latter one will be held at Rodney Bay Strip from 10 am to 6 pm. Tickets for both the events are free of cost.
