The accused name is Olivia Raimo. As per the reports of the United States media, on January 24, 2020, Olivia was at her husbands’ new house – New Rochelle home in New York when she pushed her 74-year-old husband, wedging him between the toilet seat and a wall before slitting his wrist with a straight razor.

The reports note that before Olivia could leave the house after committing murder, her husbands’ home health aide arrived at the house. The aide then contacted the New Rochelle police, who entered the house on their arrival after they heard voices screaming from the washroom.

Olivia’s husband then was immediately taken to the Jacobi hospital, where he went through two surgeries to refix the tendons in his arm.

Because of the incident, the victim lost all the functioning in his hand, according to the reports.

Westchester County District Attorney – Miriam Rocah informed the court that the incident took place after Olivia and her husband met with an attorney to plan for an interview with – the US Citizenship & Immigration Services to prove that their marriage was legal. But, during the meeting, they were being told that they would have a troublesome time to pass their marriage interview.

Almost a month after this incident took place, Olivia was charged with second-degree attempted murder. However, Olivia’s motive behind this all is not stated in the report. According to Olivia’s plea agreement, she will be sentenced for 15 years in state prison with 5 years of – post-release supervision.
