Independence Concert Marks 58 Years of Barbados’ Freedom

With only a few hours to go, Barbadians are already gearing up for their 58th independence anniversary celebration. The island is preparing for the biggest celebration through the Independence Concert, which is scheduled on Thursday, November 28, 2024.

The event will start at 7:00 pm, at the Golden Square Freedom Park in Bridgetown. What is more to add, there is no entrance fee required for any visitor.

One of the newest parks in the island, Golden Square Freedom Park, launched in 2021, represents the island’s more recent path to freedom and republicanism. For this reason, this venue is a perfect place for such concert.

This two-acre space is an area of contemplation. This was the ground for national hero, Clement Payne, in his struggle for improvement in the standard of living for his countrymen. Today it is used with manifestations of human culture and pride in nationalism.
