Icon of the Seas set to dock at US Virgin Island on Jan 31
The U.S. Virgin Island is all set to welcome the Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas to St. Thomas. It is scheduled to make its inaugural call to Charlotte Amalie on Wednesday, 31st January 2024, at 7:00 am and will depart at 3:00 pm.

St Thomas, USVI: The U.S. Virgin Island is all set to welcome Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas to St Thomas. It is scheduled to make its inaugural call to Charlotte Amalie on Wednesday, 31 January 2024, at 7:00 a.m. and depart at 3:00 p.m.
It is the world’s newest and largest cruise ship in the world berths at the Austin “Babe” Monsanto Marine Terminal in Crown Bay, St Thomas.
The ship embarked from the port of Miami on Saturday after receiving her official christening by renowned footballer Lionel Messi and his Inter Miami teammates. The ports of call for Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas are Port of Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis; Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Island; and Day at Coco Cay, Bahamas.
The residents of St Thomas will have the opportunity to witness the mega-ship during its 7-day Caribbean tour.
Moreover, the world’s largest cruise, Icon of the Seas, will be making its inaugural call to the beautiful shores of St Kitts and Nevis on Tuesday, 30th January 2024.
About Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas
The Icon of the Seas is longer than the Eiffel Tower and is taller than 20 decks. The Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas boasts an impressive maximum capacity of 7,600 passengers and features seven pools, nine whirlpools, six waterslides, and approximately 40 places to eat and drink.
The Icon of the Seas also has more than 40 bars and restaurants, which are spread across eight neighbourhoods. These neighbourhoods include Aquadome, Central Park, Chill Island, Surfside, Suite Neighbourhood, and Royal Promenade.

Jason Liberty, the Royal Caribbean Group President and Chief Executive Officer, stated, “Icon of the Seas is the culmination of more than 50 years of dreaming, innovating and living our mission – to deliver the world’s best vacation experiences responsibly.
He also mentioned that Icon of Seas is the ultimate multigenerational family vacation, forever changing the status quo in family travel and fulfilling vacation dreams for all ages on board.

Various residents of the community took to their social media accounts and expressed their excitement on the news. One person with a Facebook account, Cruise Planners-Danielle Hendrix, commented, “We were on one of the Welcome Event cruises. This ship is absolutely amazing. Our three days on board were not enough time for her.”
Another person with a Facebook handle, Nhan Nguyen, commented the following: “And I am on it right now. Loving every moment so far.”
