St Lucia: On the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in St Lucia. Health Ministry of St Lucia reported 257 new cases of coronavirus.
This result came from 886 tests administered on samples taken from January 25 to February 2, 2021.
Tuesday, February 2, 2021: 222 tests conducted with 32 confirmed positive Wednesday, February 3, 2021: 255 tests were conducted with 90 confirmed positive Thursday, February 4, 2021, a total of 409 tests were conducted with 135 verified positive.
These people were seen at various respiratory clinics, where they were evaluated and tested for coronavirus.
As per current coronavirus testing protocols, each individual was placed in home isolation by health care officials while anticipating the return of their coronavirus test outcomes.
Systems have since been made to recognize these individuals in isolation. The contact tracing team is beginning investigations to identify the contacts of these verified cases.
With the current rise in the number of coronavirus cases, the Ministry of Health has altered the isolation strategy to manage confirmed positive cases.
Quarantine is currently being conducted through both state-based sites and community-based quarantine. This allows for a greater degree of awareness in managing the milder coronavirus cases. Home isolation cannot be adequately conducted for some individuals who have been placed in attention and care.
Confirmation was also a previous day to recover ninety-six people bringing the total number of active cases currently in the country to 920. Two of the active inmates are in critical care at the Respiratory Hospital, and all of the others are presently stationary.
The new cases now bring the entire number of cases recognized in the nation to date to 1813.
