Haiti: The political opposition has demanded the President of Haiti, Jovenel Moïse, to step down.

The opposition is saying that his five-year term ended on Sunday. On the other hand, President Jovenel Moïse denies relinquishing office, debating that an interim government occupied the first year of his five-year term.
This results in Haiti on the verge of an explosion, with several who are accusing the current government of supporting groups to stay in power as a constitutional crisis looms.
President Jovenel Moise stated that “I am not a dictator; my term ends Feb. 7, 2022.”
There are a lot of tensions going on in the Haiti. The residents of people witness chaos and conspiracies of killing the President.
The plan of Killing the President is a threat to Democracy. This act is disgraceful and condemned by several leaders.
Haiti’s administration reported that they had arrested over 20 people, claiming they had been involved in a plot to overthrow and kill the President.
Reports say that those detained inmates on charges the opposition said were trumped up included a Supreme Court judge and one of Haiti’s police general officials.
Several people are petrified that the current political clashes will only worsen the country’s demographic situation and poor governance. By Sunday lunchtime, conflicts exploded between protesters and the police in three different cities across the nation.
These clashes are nothing but stimulating violation of Democracy. Haiti now has only 11 elected administrators in the office to represent its 11 million population, with Mr. Moïse having forbidden to hold any elections over the last four years.
President Jovenel Moise is seeking to extend his presidential powers in the coming months by amending its Constitution. A referendum on the new Constitution is estimated for April. The opposition worries the vote will not be free or fair and will only encourage his budding authoritarian tendencies.
