Haiti: The Office of Communication-of the Presidency brings a formal denial to the false rumours circulating on social media, believing that the President of the Republic has reportedly tried to cross a flooding river in the Northwest Department and that it would have almost left its skin.

Indeed, the Head of State in M ôlele Saint-Nicholas, together with his family for Easter holidays, echoed reports that compatriots trying to cross the river were in trouble. As he was in the area, President Moses visited the scene, with his team accompanying him, to help these struggling fellow citizens without wasting time. At no point in duration, President Moise faced any situation.

It should also be highlighted out that the President does not have Nissan Patrol vehicles in his procession, as can be seen in the pictures.

This information is aimed only at creating confusion around the Head of State’s activities and at discrediting the whole Government in a weakened political context.

The Presidency’s Communication Office calls for public vigilance not to give in to the traps of a small group of manipulators at the head of an informal and poisonous laboratory, exclusively specialized in the manufacture and spread of sensational fake news and incredibly toxic, aimed at increasing instability and institutionalizing panic in the environment.

A Facebook user commented, “These thugs are everywhere, and they are everything, to discredit the head of state, but criticism is their habits.”

Another Facebook user commented, “Thank you very much for your message. Several people are standing in prayer for the President. The eternal is great.”

Jean-Marc Cadet, a Haitian, commented, “That’s a good job! But you also need to release the press release in Creole.”

Recently, Haiti has encountered a shocking incident that turned social media upside and down. It was a horrific criminal misfortune on the occurrence of special event Good Friday, where some Gunmen abducted a Haitian pastor and three others during a Gospel celebration that was streamed live on Facebook.
