St George’s, Grenada: Wanda Diamond League 2023 will be held in Doha, Qatar from May 5, 2023. The sporting event will be attended by the Grenadian World Champion in Javelin Men event – Anderson Peters.

The sports star of Grenada will be participating in the event ahead of his defence of his World Title in Budapest in August.

On Friday (May 5), Peters will be wearing a pair of customised Adizero Adidas spikes as he will enter the field. This news was shared by the athlete himself through his social media account.

Accordingly, the customised shoes will feature a replica of flag of Grenada and a catchphrase reading, ‘Respect D Nutmeg’. The spikes will be depicting major accomplishment of the two-time World Champion and will also show his love towards his love towards the country he represents at the international level.

Peters will be wearing the shoes throughout the tournament. It is expected that more unique branding opportunities will be explored through the partnership between Anderson Peters and Adidas.

Grenadian athlete has never failed to make his nation proud and has always carried hopes of the country on his powerful and board shoulders. As per the update, Peters will fly to Kenya to contest in his first ever sporting event in the African continent after Doha. The Kip Keino Classic, which takes place at the 60,000-seat Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi, forms part of the World Athletics Continental Tour Gold series of one-day meets and is scheduled for Saturday, May 13th, 2023.
