Grenada hosts Youth Emergency Action Committee

St George’s, Grenada: The Government of Grenada has recently shared a glimpse of the Youth Emergency Action Committee (YEAC) held its Grenada Forum at the Grenada Trade Centre Annex on Wednesday, May 24th, 2023.
The government has shared the update related to the Committee and outlined that the event was hosted under the theme ‘Partnership in Action 2023’.
“The YEAC is a dedicated community youth group that focuses on training and preparing young individuals as first responders in the event of natural or manmade disasters. This year’s forum centred around the theme ‘Partnership in Action 2023’,” it outlined.
The event was also attended by the Prime Minister of Grenada – Dickon Mitchell. He also addressed the audience and shared the importance of the event for the betterment of the country.
“Prime Minister and Minister for Disaster Management, Dickon Mitchell, was pleased to accept an invitation to deliver the Feature Address at the event,” expressed the government of Grenada.
As per the information shared by the update, during his address, Prime Minister Mitchell underscored the importance of partnership and collaboration in constructing a resilient and prepared society.
Additionally, he commended the Youth Emergency Action Committee for their dedication to serving their communities and emphasised the critical role they play in ensuring the safety and well-being of citizens.
“In his capacity as Minister for Disaster Management, the Prime Minister expressed his commitment to fully support the organisation as it seeks to expand its reach across Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique and encouraged further partnerships to fortify our collective ability to respond effectively to emergencies,” outlined the government of Grenada.
