Grenada bags the 2023 ECCB Netball Series Championship
Grenada wins the ECCB International Netball Series, edging St Vincent and the Grenadines by 2 points in the table.

The team representing Grenada for the Gloria Ballantyne Championship trophy at the 3rd ECCB International Netball Series, has claimed the championship.
Team Grenada finished the series with 12 points taking the top spot, followed by St Vincent and the Grenadines, taking second place with 10 points. Antigua and Barbuda also did well, bagging eight points in total, earning the third spot.
Grenada also accumulated multiple awards along the way which included Top Shooter (Most Goals), which was awarded to Carlene Alexander (368 goals) and Kerissa Thomas was awarded Best Defending Player.
Grenada also took home an accolade for being the most disciplined team in the tournament, adding another feather to their cap. Jaimie John was awarded for being Grenada’s Most Valuable Player of the tournament as well.
Tiffany Frederick, the Public Relations Officer of netball Grenada, issued a statement congratulating the team.
“Congratulations team Grenada on a job well done…We received Best Defender, Top Shooter and most Discipline team Awards in the 2023 ECCB International Tournament. A special thank you to everyone who supported us throughout this Journey near and far. A Heartfelt Thank you to our coach Mrs Kathyann Gabriel Williams, manager Ms Nadine Lett and our president Mr Lebert Alexander for believing in team Grenada. Your words of encouragement and motivation have impacted us one way or another and being champions of the 2023 ECCB International Tournament is evidence of hard work and determination from both the managing team and players.”
ECCB connects also took to the internet, “Congratulations, team Grenada, winners of the Gloria Ballantyne Championship trophy at the 3rd ECCB International Netball Series!”
The ECCB International Netball Series was held between September 29 and October 7, 2023. Antigua was chosen to play hosts and managed to put on a great tournament for fans and players alike.
The tournament is also being seen as a great way to promote the sport in the Caribbean and beyond. Through this medium, netball players receive the kind of exposure that most can only dream of.
As a result, the sport and its players grow simultaneously, which is of great benefit to everyone involved in the endeavor.
