Govt of Dominica shares update on testing times during Carnival
Carnival has begun in the Commonwealth of Dominica on February 20 at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium. Dominicans can enjoy the events at the Carnival till March 1, 2022.

Dominica: Carnival has begun in the Commonwealth of Dominica on February 20 at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium. Dominicans can enjoy the events at the Carnival till March 1, 2022.
In 2022, as the world have been dealing with COVID-19, the organising committee designed the precautionary measure in such a way that the health of the spectators is not compromised.
According to the organisers of the Carnival, the main events will commence from February 26, 2022 (Saturday) till March 1, 2022 (Tuesday). And ahead of the events, the health ministry has announced testing timings and measures, which must be followed by the visitors.
The Ministry of Health, Wellness and New Health Investment stated, “The general public is reminded that a valid antigen test taken no more than 24 hours in advance is required for admittance to ‘all’ Government-approved events, this Carnival season.”
The testing schedule announced by the health ministry of Dominica is as follows:
February 25, Friday: Stadium- 8 am to 6:30 pm, and Layou- 12 noon to 6:30 pm.
February 27, Sunday: Stadium- 9 am to 1 pm, and Layou- 9 am to 1 pm.
February 28, Monday: Layou- 8 am to 12 noon
March 1, Tuesday: Stadium- 8 am to 12 noon
According to the health ministry, the testing would be done at the La Falaise, Adams Pharmacy and Medicus. The ministry for health further said asked the individuals to inform the testing team that they are planning to attend the event so the appropriate card can be issued.
The ministry further notified that reports shown by the spectators should not be more than 24 hours prior to the event. According to the notification by ministry of health, to attend the Carnival, the individual must bring their test results, vaccination certificate and picture ID for validation.
