Four men detained for brutally raping a woman in Jamaica
Four men have been charged with the charges of rape and illegal possession of a firearm by the authorities of the ages 17, 26 and 18 on Thursday.

Kingston, Jamaica: Four men have been charged with the charges of rape and illegal possession of a firearm by the authorities of the ages 17, 26 and 18 on Thursday.
The Centre has imposed the charges for Investigations of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA).
The incident took place on December 21, 2021.
What actually happened:
The identity of the victim has not been revealed due to security reasons. On Thursday, 2021, the victim was invited by one of the accused to his residence in the Parish region.
As per the reports of the police authorities, the woman then was held at gunpoint by the accused, after which she was brutally raped by all of the four men in the washroom.
Not only this, after assaulting her, all of them even mentally harassed her by threatening her not to report the incident to the police authorities.
When the woman managed to leave the place, one of the accused among the four men tried to follow her, but she somehow managed to flee from him by running to a nearby residence, who helped the lady in filing a complaint of the horrific incident, by taking her to the police station.
The report was filed immediately, and the police officers found all of the rape accused. The authorities immediately secured evidence from the crime scene.
Soon after, the identification was done by the woman of the accused, all of the four men were immediately detained by the police officials and counts were charged.
Although the dates of the court are being finalised yet, the identities of the accused man have yet not been revealed by the authorities.
This incident has raged the general public. Crime against women has seen a massive hike, especially during the difficult times of the COVID-19 pandemic. High cases of rapes, assault, and domestic violence have been increased a lot during the pandemic.
