Guyana: President Dr Mohamed Irfaan Ali’s leadership adding many perks to the growth of Guyana. There has been a step taken to increment the rise of development by resembling the areas like the Mahaica-Mahaicony corridor.
On the opening of Demerara Bank Mahaica branch, he made this declaration. “Your Government has recognised a series of areas that will become new development hubs, new growth poles, So very soon we will be looking at all the lands on this corridor Mahaica-Mahaicony. We will be looking at all the lands to come up with the perfect diversification plans,” he added.
The Government is further emphasising to generate Agricultural Hub, which will include Aquaculture expansion too. President Dr Irfaan Ali also explained the reason behind this expansion that is citizens are profoundly reliant on rice and other agriculture. To stimulate this, To promote this, the Administration would strengthen businesses and organisations that would encourage and arouse growth in the areas. It will develop future investments in the form of incentives.
“Our intention in creating a whole new array of infrastructure is to ensure the travel time between the centre and the outskirts is not inhibitive to business development and growth,” added Dr Ali.
On this plan of action, Guyana citizens responded. “I Am proud of the great development in the village of Mahaica it feels joyful and happy,” said Turu.On the other hand, “What is this President doing for people living in Corentyne Berbice? A resident of Corentyne Berbice- please raise your voices and concerns about your part of the country. Please speak up about Beautifying Corentyne Berbice. There are so many shortages in Corentyne Berbice. It would be best if you guys had better roads, artisan wells, sidewalks, signages, Public markets toilets, public markets parking areas, drainage and irrigation along the main roads, paved roads into squatting areas. Much much more. Speak up, people. People in BBP needs more sources of water. This part of the country produces food supplies to feed the masses. Beautifying BBP should be a priority of this President. Flowery language is not enough.” stated by another resident.
