Dominica: Dominica Water and Sewerage Company Limited (DOWASCO) has informed the customers of Soufriere & Scott’s Head that their water supply will be interrupted on March 23, 2022 (Wednesday).

The company has further notified that the water supply would be interrupted between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM. The purpose behind this inconvenience was system maintenance.

The notice by the company read, “DOWASCO informs customers of Soufriere & Scotts Head that their water supply will be interrupted on Wednesday March 23, 2022, between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. for the purpose of system maintenance.”

DOWASCO has further expressed regret and thanked the customers for their cooperation as well as understanding.

“DOWASCO shows regret over any inconveniences caused and thanks customers for their cooperation as well as understanding,” the official site of the company notified.

Earlier, on March 18, 2022, DOWASCO notified customers of Warner about the interruption in the water supply on Friday, March 18, 2022, between the hours of 9.00 AM and 4:00 PM for the purpose of system maintenance.

Recently, DOWASCO has contributed to the construction of a 60,000-gallon water tank in the Roseau Valley constituency. On March 20, 2022 (Sunday), Dominican Prime Minister Dr Roosevelt Skerrit announced that the water tank had been completed under the US$2.6 million Morne Prosper Water Supply Project. This project was funded by the Basic Needs Trust Fund, the Government of Dominica, along with DOWASCO.

The DOWASCO is a registered company is owned by the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica. It has the mandate to provide potable drinking water and sewerage services to communities in Dominica.
