West Indies U-19 skipper Stephan Pascal played the captain knock and led his team West Indies to victory by contributing 58 runs.

West Indies U-19 skipper Stephan Pascal played the captain knock and led his team to victory by contributing 58 runs. It is to be noted that Dominica’s star player, Stephen Pascal, scored his maiden half-century and defeated England by 2 wickets in the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. The game was played at North West Cricket Stadium, Potchefstroom, on 26th January 2024.
Notably, Roosevelt Skerrit, the Prime Minister of Dominica, also extended congratulations to Stephen Pascal and Nathan Edward for their excellent contribution and thrilling performance.
While congratulating the players, PM Skerrit stated, “Congratulations to Dominica’s Stephan Pascal on his maiden half-century as the West Indies beat England in the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup. Good going, Skipper. Kudos also to Nathan Edward of Dominican parentage for his contribution of runs and wickets to the Windies effort.
Nathan Edward’s all-round performance also played a pivotal role in helping West Indies beat England. He took 3 wickets by giving away runs and then scored an unbeaten 49 runs in 80 balls. For his excellent performance with both bat and bowl, he was also awarded the Player of the Match award.
