Dominica welcomes inaugural call of Ruby Express, bringing hundreds of passengers

Ruby Express marked its inaugural visit to the shores of Dominica on Thursday, 17th October 2024, welcoming hundreds of passengers to the island nation. With the arrival of the newest member of the FRS-Express Des Iles fleet, the Tourism Authority welcomed their second vessel of the cruise season 2024-2025.
The arrival of the vessel marks a huge milestone for the tourism authority of the island nation, a crucial step towards enhancing their connectivity across the Caribbean region.
This vessel will provide services to other Caribbean nations as well, connecting Saint Lucia with Martinique, Guadeloupe, and Dominica, with plans for even more routes in the future.
Moreover, Ruby Express will also offer its exclusive services to Dominica, during the biggest celebration of the year, World Creole Music Festival 2024. With its exclusive services, the vessel aims to enhance the overall experience of all the passengers travelling to Dominica.
Along with that, it will also play a huge role in welcoming visitors and attendees of the World Creole Music Festival 2024 from across the Caribbean region, enhancing connectivity and strengthening relations worldwide.
“This high-speed catamaran, with 428 seats and luxury business-class options, ensures a smooth and stylish journey for all visitors coming to Dominica,” noted the Ministry of Tourism.
Ruby Express
It is a high-speed catamaran and is a newest member of the FRS GROUP. This vessel is 60 meters long and holds a capacity of 428 seats. The ferry ensures to offer an upgraded business-class section for all those travellers who are aiming to seek a luxurious experience.
The vessel features several additional amenities, spacious seating, refreshments in order to offer a luxury experience to all the travellers, making their journey memorable and comfortable.
It also has a capacity for 420 passengers and room for 50 cars and 4 buses. Alongside the other existing fleet including, Corail Express (437 seats), Perle Express (360 seats), and Gold Express (446 seats) have the capacity to accommodate around 1671 members, making the travel between the countries smoother and accessible.
Also, the citizens can book their ferries and sail to Dominica for World Creole Music Festival 2024 between 25th to 27th October, 2024.
