Dominica: Tourism, International Transport and Maritime Initiative Ministry of the Commonwealth of Dominica, through the Small Business Support Unit, launched its newest initiative, “The Small Business One Stop”.
In a nutshell, the Small Business One Stop Shop provides a convenient, easy and professional service to micro and small businesses; this includes grant funding, business registration, fiscal incentives, information on permits, licence certification, business plan advice and counselling, guidance and hand-holding support. All of these services are in one convenient location!
In addition, a number of small business grant beneficiaries received certificates for participating in the Small Business Grant Training Workshop – a pre-requisite to receiving financial assistance.
Seventeen (17) small businesses from the Roseau Valley formed part of this ceremony today, including Definition Fitness Gym, Lachiem Touch, Mills Variety Touch, Cafe Mon Plezi, JD Management Data Solution, and Caribbean Core Fitness, Donny’s Snorkel Centre and Infinity Nails.
Certificates were presented to various small business grant beneficiaries for participating in the Small Business Grant Training Workshop. The Small Business One Stop Shop will offer an easy, convenient, professional service to small as well as micro businesses. In addition to this, the government also developed the Small Business Support Units services and transformed the units into the One Stop Shop.

Minister McIntyre stated that the major purpose of “One Stop Shop” is to encourage entrepreneurship among people. He said that small business owners can now benefit from all of these services in one convenient location.
